on trend: dresses as shirts

hey fam! I wanted to hop on here really quick to share a trend that I’ve been loving lately – dresses as shirts. I already posted about this tend once (right here), but I’m back again to tell you that I’m still into it.

being short, I am constantly looking for ways to look taller. I can’t explain it (& may also be delusional), but when I wear longer dresses as a shirt, I look taller. anyone agree? no? k.

anyways – In my opinion, it’s just a really great look. It’s fresh and different and I’m all about ways to re-work your wardrobe. It’s so fun to take those clothes that you never wear, but just can’t get rid of, and breathe some new life into them. #amiright?

this trend is also v comfy, so amen to that.

I would stick to dresses that have a button up or some sort of wrap that opens toward the front so you can tell you intentionally wore pants under it. Not a dress where it looks like you wore extra clothes because you were cold or whatever (whatever is definitely a scientific term, right?).

Also stick to a dress that’s tighter up top and flows down below. It’s an easier look to pull off, although now that I’m thinking about it, I bet there are so many combinations that can pair well together as long as you get the proportions right. hmm… maybe I’ll try another combination soon? maybe…
