SOOO I’ve been playing around with lightroom recently. I have a serious desire to learn photography and learn how to create art through capturing and editing pictures. While I strongly believe that fashion/blogging is a form of art (one that I have ALOT to learn about), I am also very interested in other variations of photography. Does anyone else find it hard to balance work, life, health, and your passion? I mean geeeze fitting it all in is hard. But if it’s not part of your day most days per week, is it really a priority?

I made the determination a while ago that my goal is to become a morning person. Not necessarily someone who’s happy and excited in the mornings (because that’s an even harder goal), but someone who gets up early and starts making progress on their goals. From all the books, podcasts, and advice I have gotten over the years, I have found that the most successful people wake up around 5:30/6 am every morning. And when I say successful, I mean someone who has worked hard to live their passion everyday. Now… just finding a way to conquer my serious love for sleep.

I also find it so important to find people who support you through your passions. I don’t know if you knew this, but I actually started my blog two times before I ACTUALLY started it. Third time’s the charm right? Well I will admit, even now I don’t feel like I’m living up to my potential. I’m almost half-assed throwing pictures up that my fabulous photographer edits for me. Ahh I admit it, that’s how I feel. But I want to do MORE!

If you were to ask me (and some of you have), why did you start your blog? What motivates you to continue posting? Well first and most importantly, I want to connect with like-minded individuals who I can create real friendships with and have conversations around topics that I’m seriously interested in. I want to know more about my followers and other bloggers, because chances are, we have something in common and I enjoy meeting new people and enjoy hearing their stories. I also love the positivity between women (and men!) in the blogging community. We’re all in it together and I admire the hard work everyone puts in.

I also really enjoy the creative outlet that blogging allows. Working from home everyday and saving money for a house unfortunately means less time for travel and being surrounded by the same atmosphere 80% of the week. I’m not complaining, but man it’s nice to be able to create something and connect with people.

So if you’re like me and enjoy feeling connected and feeling like you’re contributing to art, I’d love to connect. Send me a message or comment in the comments below!
